Corona Virus Precautions

Corona Virus Precautions

We've received a few questions about what we're doing at Cole Dental to ensure the health of our Clients and Staff, so here's the rundown to keep you up-to-date.

Being an Australian Dental Association (ADA) accredited practice, Cole Dental upholds the highest infection control standards at all times—not just during outbreaks.

Our staff are acutely aware of risk factors and are highly trained in removing them. We take your safety and that of our staff and families very seriously.

If you will be visiting the practice, here's what you can expect:

Your appointment

Currently we are manually working through appointments. For this reason it's likely that you'll receive a phone call prior to your visit rather than the usual text reminders.

If you have an appointment booked, we have set in place a number of reminders to check-in and assess whether you're feeling unwell or suffering symptoms prior to your visit.

Please take note and let us know if anything is out of balance.

Symptoms of COVID-19

  • fever
  • fatigue
  • dry cough
  • sore throat
  • shortness of breath
  • headache
  • chills

If you are experiencing any of the above, we need you to contact us without delay. This ensures both the safety of our staff and other clients.

Travel

We all love travel but at the moment it's a huge risk factor contributing to the viral spread. If you, or someone you have been in contact with, has recently returned from overseas please let us know.

On arrival

If you are feeling well apart from your dental problem, and arrive for your appointment as normal please observe the following:

  • While our doors are again unlocked we ask that you only enter if you have a confirmed appointment. If you don't, call us 3205 5811 to discuss your visit prior to entry.
  • To limit numbers we ask that only those having treatment (plus one guardian if applicable) be present.
  • Please sign in using the Queensland Government check in app.
  • Please wear your mask at all times unless advised otherwise by our staff.
  • Please observe physical distancing recommendations during your visit. We have changed our waiting areas to accommodate this.
  • Please follow any instructions given by our staff.
  • Be kind—we understand these are difficult times and we ask you to remember that we're all in this together.

The Practice

As our infection control standards are already at the highest level, these systems will not be changing.

Some ADA regulations have altered the way in which we provide treatments.

For this reason you may notice slight differences in your routine care. If you have any concerns, please chat with us—we're here to make you feel safe and cared for.

We have placed greater emphasis on individuals to ensure our workplace remains as contaminant-free as possible.

Staying safe

In general our team are following the Government's guidelines with regard to travel, isolation and awareness. We want all of our community to stay healthy so we ask that you observe the advice too.
